A force for positive change in the community

At Highbourne Group we live by our behaviours and at the heart of this is our focus on supporting our colleagues and others around us. We want to be a force for positive change in our communities and to make life better for our neighbours as well as our colleagues.

This includes a desire to help make the world a better place through our support for Net Zero initiatives which help tackle climate change.

Our partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust

A partnership to improve the lives of young people facing cancer

We are immensely proud of our charity partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust which has now passed its 10-year anniversary. So far, we have raised more than £2.5m, with an aim to raise a further £300,000 in 2023.

Everyone in the business is encouraged to take part, from branches to head office, supported by CEO Dave Evans to have fun and raise money – and ultimately to improve the lives of young people facing cancer.

Planned events include a marathon month, a campaign to donate £30 on International Nurses Day to fund an hour of care with a specialist nurse, a baking event, and a 7 for the 7 fundraiser challenge to help the 7 young people diagnosed with cancer every day.

Communities inside Highbourne Group

Supporting positive change for our people

Our commitment to communities includes our own community inside Highbourne Group and we are always searching for ways to bring people together and improve lives. Examples include our menopause support community, Hot Stuff, which is supporting colleagues to understand and help more around this issue.

Our Change Makers are a working group recruited from within the business to support Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing strategies. The scheme allows for two hours a month to be spent in meetings during work time as well as additional time support activities and events.
